How do I do it?

Choose or create a background for your slide show.

Use the Design Button to access standard templates and standard color schemes. These will automatically be applied to all of your slides.
Select Format>Background to customize your background the way that you would like or to change the color of a standard template. Make sure to apply this to all sides.
