The Artist In Me

Kindergarten-3rd Grade: Kindergarten through 3rd Grade will create art using KidPix in the style of four artists: Piet Mondrian, Jackson Pollock, Vincent Van Gogh and Leonardo da Vinci. Each artist will be introduced by the teacher with biographical information about the artist and their art and a short how-to about creating the art work. After all of the art work is completed, each student will create a title page for their art and a slideshow of their art in KidPix which will be viewed during an Art Show in the class. We will also be printing out their gallery in a way that can be displayed at home. 4th & 5th Grade: 4th & 5th Grades will be exploring the art world by reading short biographies about some artists and creating their own art works in the style of four different artists. They will be showcasing their art in a 6-slide Powerpoint presentation which will be viewed during an Art Show in class. Middle School: Middle School will be researching four artists and creating a 10-slide Powerpoint presentation which will include a short biography for each of the artists chosen and art work created by the student in the style of each artist. Upon completion of their presentations we will be holding an Art Show in class. |
