| St. Martin-in-the-Fields Episcopal School is
located in Winnetka, California and consists of Preschool, Kindergarten
and Grades 1 through 8. The campus is shared with St. Martin-in-the-Fields
Episcopal Church, and the beautifully peaceful four acres of grounds are
an oasis in the San Fernando Valley.
For Kindergarten through 8th
Grade students, school starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m. Extended
care is available from 7:15 - 8:15 a.m. and from 3:15 - 6:00 p.m. We also
offer a number of after-school activities that we hope will be of interest
to your child. Preschool times are detailed in the Preschool Schedule.
Our grounds consist of two outside patio
eating areas for Kindergarten and Grades 1 through 8. There are also
separate playgrounds for Preschool/Kindergarten and Grades 1 through 8.
School chapel services are held in St.
Martins Church. The services take place once a week for Preschool and
Kindergarten, four times a week for Grades 1 through 5 and once a week for
Grades 6 through 8. Our Christmas and/or Spring Programs, performed by the
students, are also held in the Church. We offer a fully catered hot lunch program
five days a week. Our campus also consists of eleven classrooms, a library, a computer
lab., administrative offices, and an infirmary (our faculty are CPR Certified and First
Aid trained).
Class sizes in Kindergarten and Grades 1 through 8 are limited to 25, with
one class per grade. In Preschool the teacher-child ratio is 1:8. There
are three connecting classrooms, and preschoolers have their own
restrooms. All children in Kindergarten and Grades 1 through 8 are
required to wear the St. Martins school uniform.
St. Martins is a non-profit organization
and operates under the authority of the Rector, Wardens, and Vestry of St.
Martin-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church. It has a Board of Directors that
guide the overall operations of the school.
