Inside Time
8:30 - 11:15 a.m.
The children have free movement between the classrooms among the following
areas. There are two teacher-involved activities in each room during inside time.
Art table
Water or manipulative materials
Block area
Paper, pencils, crayons, scissors
Housekeeping/dramatic play area
Self-correcting games or activities
Table or floor games
Music/group activities |

Painting
Concept table
Books
Puzzles
Library loft
Science center
Mini museum center |
Music/group activities includes such activities as:
Scarf dancing, listening to records, learning songs, playing musical games,
using instruments, exercising to records, learning different dances, doing rhythm
exercises, making believe, concept learning, playing finger games and activity records.
Outside Time
11:15a.m. 12:00 midday
We have 45 minutes of outside exercise and play daily. It is as important for
Preschoolers to develop their large muscles, as it is to develop their learning abilities.
Our outdoor activities include:
- Playing with wheel toys and sand toys
- Playing in the sand area
- Bubble blowing
- Water play
- Playing on the swings and climbing equipment
- Woodworking
- Painting
- Nature walks
- Playing with balls
- Playing on the balance beam
- Parachute play
- And other activities on the grass area.
Our daily schedule and routine from 8:30am - 12:00pm is as follows:
- Inside time (approximately 2 hours - the doors between the
three rooms are opened at about 9:30 a.m.)
- Clean-up and bathroom
- Snack time (provided by the school)
- Music and group activities
- Story time/share time
- Outside time (approximately 45 minutes)
- Dismissal

- Outside time (approximately 30 minutes)
- Lunch
- Rest time
- Story/dismissal

- Outside time (approximately 45 minutes)
- Snack (provided by the school)
- Inside play
- Story/dismissal
Please Note:
- Preschool provides snack every day.
- At least three days a week we have a cooking lesson.
- We have the opportunity to have special events
come to our Preschool in lieu of leaving the campus on outside field trips.
In February we will begin to plan these special days. We will try to relate these programs to the topics of the month.
