St. Martin’s seeks to enroll children who will benefit from its values, purposes and programs, and who will contribute to the school and its philosophy through an active interest in learning, a sense of responsibility, positive general attitude, and concern for others. This commitment extends to the parents by their active participation in school activities, parent-teacher conferences, and the Parent Faculty Association. All applications receive equal consideration; however, preference may be granted to children whose families are active parish members of St. Martin’s Church, and children who have siblings already attending the school. Admission is based on a meeting with the family and an evaluation of the child. The evaluation determines general aptitudes and competencies and the readiness to work at the level comparable to those students currently enrolled at St. Martin’s. Students of all racial, religious and ethnic backgrounds are welcome. St. Martin’s does not discriminate among applicants on the basis of color, race, national, or ethnic origin in either the admission process or the administration of school programs. St. Martin’s welcomes children of any religious background who can accept and participate in the Christian educational philosophy of St. Martin’s. |
