Middle School Catalina

Wednesday, February 1st:

It was another terrific day on Catalina that started with a morning hike and another stunning sunrise.

Then it was the All Day Kayak! The weather was absolutely gorgeous. Yes, the middle schoolers managed to tip Mr. H, but not without a fight.

The day ended with a movie (The Sandlot) and everyone performing a song. It was a great but tiring day and everyone is off to sleep a little early.

Tuesday, January 31st:

Another great day at CIMI!

The day started with a walk to the pier to catch the beautiful morning sunrise.

It was a gorgeous day for the 4+ mile hike known as “Unos to Ochos.”

It was off to labs after lunch, where the middle schoolers learned about fish, sharks, and algae. Did you know that algae is in virtually everything we eat?

The day ended with creatures of the deep, where the students learned about life in the deepest parts of the ocean.

Monday, January 30th:

Most of the day was spent at the swing where all St. Martin's students & the chaperones participated! Monday ended with the astronomy hike.
