Here are the required supplies for the 2011-2012 school year:
Kindergarten
Supplies you need when school starts:
- A backpack (no wheels, please) labelled with child’s name
- A small blanket (no silky sleeping bags, please – these are slippery and can be a slipping hazard)
- A small (no larger than 81/2″x5 1/2″) pencil box labelled with child’s name
- A box of 24 crayons

First Grade
Supplies you need when school starts:
- Folder with pockets
- Pencil box to sit on desk (no larger than 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″)
- A few pencils
- Erasers
- Glue Stick
Please do not send any mechanical pencils or pencils with large toy-like ends. Crayons, markers and other necessities will be supplied. You should have pencils, crayons and safety scissors available at home for homework.
A small backpack can be very helpful especially when a child is going to Extended Care. Make sure to LABEL all backpacks, lunch containers, sweatshirts and jackets with your child’s name. |
Second Grade
Keep in mind that all supplies are kept in the desk, not on top!
- Small pencil box (approximately 8″x5″x3″)
- 2 pocket folders (no prongs)
- 1 glue stick
- 1 12″ ruler (standard & metric)
- 2 jumbo sized book covers
If desired, 2nd graders can also bring:
- Crayons (no more than 48)

Third Grade
Please bring the following items to class on the first day of school:
- 4 book covers (preferably fabric stretch covers)
- 1 Pencil Box (approximately 8″x5″x3″)
- 5 #2 pencils
- 3 erasers
- 5 pencil top erasers
- 2 ball point pens (blue or black)
- 1 pair of good scissors
- 1 glue stick
- 1 bottle of glue
- 1 12″ ruler (standard & metric)
- 1 set of markers
- 2 packs of 3″x5″ or 4″x6″ lined index cards (100 ct)
- 1 black and white composition book
- 2 packages wide ruled notebook paper
- 2 white binders (with plastic cover on front)
- 2 plain folders
- 1 pack of dividers (with tabs)
Please note that these are the supplies required on the first day of school. Additional supplies should be purchased to have at home for homework and to replenish supplies as needed throughout the year. |
Fourth Grade

- 4 Book covers – stretch, reusable fabric (any color)

Fifth Grade
It is recommended to have supplies on hand at home for homework in addition to the supplies purchased for school.
- Assignment Book (at least 8×10 in size)
- 2 binders (1 1/2″ with plastic cover on front)
- 1 pocket folder with metal clasps for paper
- Good scissors
- 1 glue stick or multi-purpose glue
- 5 packages #2 pencils (bring 2 packages sharpened to school the first day)
- 3 large erasers (bring 1 to school)
- 2 packages of pencil top erasers (bring 1 to school)
- 1 pencil sharpener
- 1 package of highlighters (3 or 4 ct. in different colors)
- 6 ballpoint pens: 2 blue, 2 black and 2 red (will need extras as ink runs out during the year)
- 1 set of colored pencils (50 pencils if possible)
- 1 pencil case or pouch (this must fit in the desk)
- 8 packages wide ruled notebook paper (bring 2 packages to school and keep extra at home until needed)
- 1 box of reinforcements
- 5 packages of 3″ x 5″ lined index cards (100 ct)

Middle School
It is recommended to have supplies on hand at home for homework in addition to the supplies purchased for school. Be sure to have a 3-hole punch, stapler, and dictionary/thesaurus (American Heritage Dictionary recommended) for at-home use.
