What are St. Martin’s school hours?

St. Martin’s operates on a traditional academic calendar from September – June. For Kindergarten through 8th Grade students, school starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m. Preschool times are detailed in the Preschool Schedule.

Does the school offer extended care?

Extended care is available from 7:00 – 8:15 a.m. and from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m at an additional cost.

What after school extra-curricular activities are offered?

After school activities may include: Homework Club, Competitive Sports such as Basketball and Volleyball, Band, and dances for Middle School.

Are there any summer programs offered at St. Martin’s?

Spring and summer care is available for Preschool, Kindergarten and Grades 1-3 at an additional fee, subject to demand.

Are St. Martin’s students required to wear uniforms?

Uniforms are required daily for all students in Grades K-8 unless otherwise specified. Students are required to come to school in clean clothing that is in good condition. Students who come to school dressed inappropriately will not be allowed to attend class until they are dressed appropriately. All uniforms must be purchased from Dennis Uniform.

Does St. Martin’s offer a hot lunch program?

Yes, students may purchase lunches which are provided by a private catering company on Monday-Thursday and by a pizza delivery company on Fridays.

Where do students eat lunch?

Our grounds consist of two outside patio eating areas for Kindergarten and Grades 1 through 8. There are also separate playgrounds for Preschool / Kindergarten and Grades 1 through 8.

Are all St. Martin’s students required to attend chapel?

School chapel services are held in St. Martin’s Church and all students are required to attend. The services take place once a week for Preschool and Kindergarten, four times a week for Grades 1 through 5 and once a week for Grades 6 through 8.

Does St. Martin’s have class size limits?

Class sizes in Kindergarten and Grades 1 through 8 are limited to 25, with one class per grade. In Preschool, the teacher-child ratio is 1:8 with three connecting classrooms. Preschoolers have their own restrooms.

Graduates from St. Martin’s Middle School have been accepted to many fine private schools in the Los Angeles area including: Bishop Alemany High School, Chaminade College Preparatory High School, Crespi Carmelite High School, Louisville High School, Faith Baptist High School, Notre Dame High School.
